📡 Radio From Scratch

Handmade AM Radio Receiver (Upcoming)

In this lesson we’ll show you how to build an AM radio receiver using readily available components. This kit will use only traditional passive components and transistors. It will thus operate similar to a classic transistor radio. This makes it both easier to assemble, and easier to understand.

Unlike some other radio kits, this does not make use of integrated circuits (ICs). These devices are crucial for decreasing size and cost of advanced electronic devices. Unfortunately since the internal components are not visible, designs based around ICs are not well suited for teaching.

This course is coming soon. Plans and complete kits should be available within the next month or so.
